The Prince of Asturias pharmacy automation system incorporates drugs.
Madrid, 22 ago .- The Pharmacy Service of Hospital Universitario Principe de Asturias, situated in Alcala de Henares, has installed an automated warehouse with a capacity of more than 800 drugs and a cold chamber of 30 cubic meters of capacity to conserve the drugs .
This is the main novelty of the reorganization that the Community of Madrid has been carried out in this pharmacy service, jumpgate evolution credits, to improve internal supply chain of drugs and the expansion of areas and units, announced today the Ministry of Health.
The new warehouse allows the placement and dispensing of medicines is done in a faster manner, and provides greater control of access to drugs to be registered the moment the person and the amount being dispensed.
The facilities, earthrise credits, management software that classifies drugs according to frequency of use and easier to control stocks, thus allowing proper monitoring of the disqualifications.
In addition to this automated carousel, has installed a cold chamber of 30 cubic meters for the preservation of medicines.
In 2009, the Pharmacy Department of Hospital Principe de Asturias dispense drugs to, tera gold, 21 152 31 413 outpatients, 47 705 prepared and cytostatic chemotherapy for outpatients and 1.2 million lines dispense drugs and 218 400 inpatient validated requirements.
In addition, about 10,000 elaborated parenteral nutrition for adults and infants, as well as compounding or prepared for oral administration officinalis, topical, ophthalmic or intravenous.
